Mary Jesse, VRstudios Chief Strategy Officer, to Speak on VR at Comic-Con’s “State of the Holodeck” Panel, Thursday, July 21, 2 pm, San Diego Convention Center
July 19, 2016 – San Diego, CA – Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be attacked by killer zombies from all angles and need to shoot your way out to survive? VRstudios (www.vrstudios.com) and its full-motion wireless, virtual reality technology and “Time Zombies” game will give you that truly unique and realistic experience at the inaugural VR CON show (www.vrconevents.com), which is an adjunct event to San Diego’s Comic-Con show, July 21-24, 2016.
VR CON was created to celebrate the boldest and coolest in the exploding areas of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mediated Reality (MR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Wearable Computing. VR CON covers entertainment, gaming, education, travel, design, and more.
“Time Zombies,” offered by VRstudios’ gaming and entertainment division, VRcade, takes players through time travel into the dark and ominous back alleys of an abandoned English town in 1910. Zombies lurk in every corner ready to attack. In order to survive, players must move and shoot to kill the charging army of undead coming from every direction.
As part of their VR CON at Comic-Con-2016 experience, VRstudios booth visitors can receive a personalized tweet that includes photos of them playing “Time Zombies.”
“VRstudios and its entertainment division, VRcade, are thrilled to participate in and highlight our commercially available ‘Time Zombies’ VR game at the inaugural VR CON 2016,” said Mary Jesse, Chief Strategy Officer at VRstudios. “VR CON provides an excellent venue to showcase our unique wireless full-motion capabilities and reach entertainment customers and partners.”
In addition, Jesse, will join Dent the Future and other VR industry innovators at the “State of the Holodeck” on Thursday, July 21, at 2 pm, at the San Diego Convention Center. The panel will discuss how fictional immersive simulations, such as the X-Men’s “danger room” training facility, and the Star Trek “holodeck” are becoming technologically possible.
The company recently announced partnerships with entertainment and distribution leaders across the world, such as Meraas’ Hub Zero, Simuline, Smartlaunch and Stampede.
